I have many vintage (circa 1900) knit/crochet patterns calling for Perle cotton. I do not know what I will make with this, but I will be thrilled if it is a 100 yr.old pattern. Too cool!
I bought this a few years ago when my FIL was still crocheting. I found a ‘Blue Bear’ vintage pattern book at a yard sale calling for similar yarn. SQUEE! It sat and sat for years. I decided to find another project to use it for. Have I found that project? NO, but I will…None the less, it is beautiful Perle Cotton in a fantastic shade. Trust me, I will find the pattern…I am on a mission…

This is some roving I purchased. There is a picture below of some fabu orange merino roving…this is very difficult to learn drop spinning on…who knew! The Romney is very different, and I feel confident I will have more success with it as well. I will finish my DH’s Twist vest before I start anything else but I am thrilled at the opportunity to be successful at hand spinning. I have found wonderful videos on the topic at YouTube; don’t overlook this resource!
